SEND GHANA

Food Security Through Cooperation Project

The Food Security Through Cooperation Project focuses on improving the livelihood security of farming communities in Ghana by strengthening farmer cooperatives and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. Implemented by SEND Foundation of West Africa, the project supports rural households through access to credit, technical training, market linkages, and nutrition education.

The initiative operates mainly in the Eastern Corridor, an area marked by high poverty levels, limited infrastructure, and weak access to agricultural inputs and markets. The project responds to these challenges by organizing farmers into family-based cooperative groups, improving production capacity, and creating structured channels for marketing farm produce such as soybeans.
