This quarter, the organization made significant strides in promoting inclusivity in the cocoa sector, advancing human rights for People Living with HIV/AIDS, empowering cocoa farmers, and strengthening governance through citizen participation.

  1. Promoting Inclusivity in the Cocoa Sector – Advocating for accessible cocoa industry documents for People with Disabilities (PWDs) to ensure full participation in the cocoa value chain.
  2. Protecting Human Rights – Addressing discrimination against People Living with HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis (TB) patients through a legal and policy review session.
  3. Empowering Cocoa Farmers – Organizing a training workshop to educate farmers on new global regulations affecting cocoa production.
  4. Strengthening Governance – Engaging citizens and policymakers to ensure political accountability ahead of Ghana’s 2024 elections.
  5. Cocoa Farmers’ Advocacy – The Ghana Civil-Society Cocoa Platform (GCCP) is calling for a 60%+ increase in farmgate cocoa prices to protect farmers’ livelihoods.
