		Introduction
The Q3 2025 edition of Citizens’ Watch highlights SEND GHANA’s continuous advocacy for gender equality, improved food and nutrition policy, sustainable cocoa livelihoods, youth empowerment, and inclusive development. This quarter showcases progress in amplifying youth voices against gender-based violence, building stronger international partnerships, advancing fair income and sustainability in the cocoa sector, promoting menstrual hygiene in schools, and recognising leadership in cooperative finance.

Key Highlights
- Amplifying Youth Voices on Gender-Based Violence – Twenty-one SRHR youth advocates compiled a report and policy brief on sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) targeting Persons with Disabilities, addressing stigma, discrimination, and systemic barriers to justice.
 - Strengthening Global Partnerships – Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Global Health Advocacy Incubator, and other partners visited Ghana to reaffirm commitments on nutrition advocacy and to support SEND GHANA’s push for front-of-package food labelling policies.
 - Promoting Gender Equality in Households – Through the FILMA-Gender Model Family programme, families like Francis and Abena’s in Montanya have transformed household roles, enabling shared responsibilities, women’s leadership, and community-wide behavioural change.
 - Improving Menstrual Hygiene in Schools – The Northern School of Business Senior High School (NOBISCO) received a new polytank under the Power to Choose project, significantly improving menstrual hygiene management and reducing absenteeism among girls.
 - Honouring Leadership in Cooperative Finance – SEND GHANA board member, Ambassador Emmanuel O. Darko, received the 2025 Distinguished Service Award from the World Council of Credit Unions for his decades of work advancing cooperative finance across Africa.
