Introduction

In 2015, SEND GHANA deepened its influence in public policy and citizen empowerment across 80 districts and 9 regions. The report showcases continued work on gender equity, maternal health, inclusive agriculture, and good governance, especially through district-level citizen monitoring.

Key Highlights

  1. Health & Social Protection – Advocated for maternal health reforms, bolstered CHPS infrastructure, and trained volunteers for maternal health awareness.
  2. Agriculture & Food Security – Supported cooperatives, implemented climate-smart agriculture, and improved income for rural farmers.
  3. Education & Youth Empowerment – Delivered youth mentoring and financial literacy programs, and promoted reproductive health education.
  4. Governance & Public Financial Management – Expanded the PM&E network to track budget allocations and program delivery.
  5. Gender Equality & Women’s Empowerment – Promoted leadership among rural women, supported gender budgeting, and strengthened microfinance systems.
