Our work is centered around empowering marginalized communities, advocating for policies that protect human rights, and ensuring that every individual, regardless of their background, has access to opportunities for sustainable development. We strive to create a nation where all citizens can thrive, their voices heard, and their fundamental rights respected, leading to improved livelihoods and a better quality of life for all.

					1998
								Humble Beginnings
Established on August 4, 1998, initially known as the Social Enterprise Development Foundation of West Africa. Over the years, we have grown into a reputable and credible national CSO, specializing in: Policy research and advocacy, focusing on pro-poor policies and monitoring development programs in Ghana. Service delivery, promoting livelihood security for marginalized communities.

					2010
								First recognition
In 2010, out of more than two hundred and fifty (250) Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) across Africa, SEND GHANA won the One Africa Award of US$ 100,000 due to its work that portrays an African-based, African-led advocacy organisation.

					2023
								SEND @ 25
For 25 years, SEND GHANA has been at the forefront of advocacy, governance, social protection, and economic justice, transforming lives and shaping policies that empower marginalized communities.

					2024
								1st Female Country Dir.
Harriet N. Agyemang was appointed as SEND Ghana's first female Country Director in 2024. Having begun her journey with the organization in 2003
