Cocoa Advocacy project seeks to strengthen the capacity of farmer groups, CSOs and media to influence cocoa sector policies and programs.

It is a three year project starting from September 2017 to September 2020 with funding from INKOTA netzwerk and UTZ.

The project is working with different farmer groups across different cocoa growing regions in Ghana.

Specific objectives of the project are:
– Strengthen the capacity of farmer groups, CSOs and the media to monitor and advocate for improved policies and programs/practices in the sector
– Promote the functionality of stakeholder SDGs platform for advocacy in the cocoa sector by including gender issues on the advocacy agenda
– Facilitate constructive dialogue between farmer groups, CSOs, govenment and COCOBOD
