Description

The dialogue meeting which was held at the District Assembly conference hall brought together participants from the District Education Directorate, District Assembly, Head teachers from both private and public KGs, PTA and DCMCs.

Whilst welcoming participants to the dialogue session, DCE underscored the need for the country to pay serious attention to early childhood education and the importance of feedback in shaping the work of government. The purpose of the dialogue and the research findings were then presented by Jonathan Dery, Project Officer, SEND Ghana. Following from that, a presentation on the findings were made by Robert Bakanireb, a DCMC member to set the stage for subsequent discussions.

Afterwards, participants asked various questions for clarifications which were responded to by officials from SEND Ghana, GES and the Assembly.

Valuable contributions, inputs and commitments were also secured from other stakeholders.

The activity which was facilitated by the DCMC ended successfully with a closing with a closing remarks from the representative of the DCE.
