– The representative of the Assembly’s Planning unit also pledged to cooperate with CSOs by providing needed information aimed at promoting accountability

 

– The Works department representative also promised to ensure that the provision of signboards are included in the contracts of contractors. This is in a bid to keep citizens abreast with funding sources of development projects.

 

– The Assembly also pledged to put in adequate measures to ensure effective communication between the Assembly and citizens within the Municipality.

  • The Assembly liaised with SEND GHANA to educate citizens on its 2017 budget, with emphasis on projects and programmes on education and health earmarked for 2017
  • The Assembly has sought services of a consultant to develop a communication strategy for the Municipality.
  • The draft communication plan is complete and the Assembly is currently reviewing the document. Training of essential staff on components of the plan is also yet to be carried out. In addition, the Assembly has promised to share a copy of the communication plan with the FNGP and DCMC for their inputs.
