  • 13 DCMCs (9M, 4F) members are more aware of the P4H project indicators
  • 13 DCMCs (9M, 4F) members are able to measure the different activities within the project using these indicators.
  • The DCMCs were able to identify some health challenges in the district that need special attention
  • A 5 member data collection team was formed comprising (DA rep, DHMT rep, focal person, youth rep, and elected assembly member)

Lessons learned
  • The project indicators are too many for DCMCs to be trained for a day in order for them to understand. It is important to continuously do refresher training for them to comprehend these 23 indicators.
  • Difficult to assess how well the DCMC members understood the indicators. Level of understanding seemed to differ a lot.
  • Find a way to also reach the people who don’t speak English (Someone was translating, but wasn’t possible to translate quick enough nor to engage in the discussion)
  • First DCMC where media person was present. Yet to find a way to make use of it
