| Participants - Male | 62 |
| Participants - Female | 97 |
| Participants - Total | 159 |
| Output | 1. A total of 169 citizens were enlightened on DDF with majority of the participants being women and the youth. 2. Participants in their submissions complained bitterly about situations where projects to be executed in Wechaiu were diverted to different communities and wanted to know the reasons behind such actions by the district assembly. In response, the Planner said such developments were unfortunate and assured participants that measures would be taken to curtail that in future. 3. Participants also expressed their their heartfelt joy for being enlightened on DDF and pledged to monitor development projects of DDF to ensure maximum outcomes. 4. Citizens were also interested in finding out from the Assembly whether they have something to hide by not involving community members in the planning and execution of projects. The Assembly responded by attributing the situation (lack of broader stakeholder engagements) to inadequacy of funds, but stated it is an issue that the Assembly is well aware of. |
