Output
  • Eight (8) listeners called in during the phone-in segment to contribute to the discussion. They all raised very important issues and concerns. For instance, a caller observed that “corruption is attitudinal and a reflection of the society. We need an awakening, vigilant and conscious society as well as God-fearing people and leaders. Till we change our attitude and fundamentally fear God, there is no system that can do away corruption”. Another caller added that “Some workers engage in corrupt acts to get more money because their income is low; there should be equity and improvement in the remuneration of public officials”.
  • An estimated number of 5,000 people were sensitized and their knowledge on corruption issues and mechanisms available to report corruption related complaints enhanced.
