Output

• The dialogues contributed to promoting citizens access to fundamental information on the state of being and thereby aroused their interest to supporting stakeholders to respond to their needs.
• Citizens’ awareness of their civic responsibilities was enhanced, thus they pledged their commitment of honouring their tax obligations, and will contribute to the development of their communities by holding the Assemblies accountable. They equally pledged to support the Assemblies by playing their gate keeping roles of monitoring contractors and reporting them to the appropriate authorities where there exists non-compliance.
• There were commitments from all the Assemblies to intensify monitoring of contractors to ensure compliance (physically Disability friendly, mounting of bill boards on project sites etc.) They particular promised that all DDF initiated projects are completed as scheduled.
• Recommended for a braille version of reports for Persons with Physically challenged to have access
• There was a specific commitment from the Sissala West District Assembly to correct a defect on the Social Welfare Office building which is not friendly to all users.
