Purpose

 

  • To increase citizens awareness of the national and district level budget cycles
  • To increase citizens awareness of the opportunities/entitlements offered to them in 2016 on education and health; how resources were generated for its implementation; and progress made so far.
  • To use the platform for citizens to make inputs into the District Assemblies’ 2017 budget
  • Secure commitment from citizens and duty bearers on the implementation of the budget.

Output
  • 493 citizens were exposed to their respective Assembly’s 2016 budget and appropriate ways of making inputs into subsequent budgets.
  • 3 commitments were secured from stakeholders;

– Mr. Abamfo, a representative of the education directorate in Ablekuma South pledged to make enquiries into compulsory payments made in the aforementioned schools.

– The area council chairman of Asutuare was tasked to compile a list of PWDs who need assistance with the renewal of their NHIS cards which would be presented to the Assembly.

– The Planning officer of Shai Osudoku pledged to ensure that community caterers provide meals for schools about to be enrolled onto the School Feeding program.
