To increase awareness of community members on malaria prevention and treatment as well as the importance and benefits of good nutrition.

Output
A total of 543 participants made up of 264 males and 279 females were sensitized on malaria and nutrition in the five selected P4H communities.

 

Malaria and HIV/AIDS screening were carried out during the sensitization. Out of the total number of persons tested, four (4) people – two males and two females – tested positive to HIV and have been referred to the appropriate treatment centers for further counseling and treatment. Out of the number, 11 people tested positive for malaria and have been advised to visit nearby health facilities for treatment.

 

Participants were also briefly enlightened on the Ghana Health Service code of ethics and the patient’s charter.
