Purpose	Increase citizens’ awareness of what the budget is and its importance; national and local budget cycle and calendar as well as avenues for CSO interventions; how citizens could contribute to the budget and in holding Government accountable during their implementation. Increase citizens awareness of the opportunities/entitlements offered to them in 2017 on education and health; how resources would be generated for its implementation; and progress made so far in the 2016 budget.

Output	100 participants (including 32 males and 68 females) benefited from the sensitization. Participants had an increased awareness of the 2017 education and health sector budgets. Participants took the opportunity to make inputs into the Municipal Budget for education and health for their electoral areas. The sensitization also enhanced participants’ knowledge on the budget processes and to take advantage of it. It further enhanced citizens’ interest in demanding transparency and accountability in budget implementation.
