SEND Ghana – Working to promote good governance and equality of men and women in Ghana.

Promoting Progressive Tax for Inclusive Development of All (PPTID) is a 2.5 year project (2017 to 2020) supported by STAR-Ghana with funding from UKaid, DANIDA and the European Union. This project is a national-level advocacy project that seeks an improved tax system that supports the socially excluded and micro-enterprises.

  • To facilitate the involvement of socially excluded groups in tax advocacy
  • To increase civil society’s responsiveness on regressive tax regime through media engagement
  • To influence the replacement of regressive tax systems with a progressive tax regime

Project principals include market women, mother clubs, artisans, persons with disability in micro-businesses through the Federation of Disability Associations, Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty beneficiaries and youth entrepreneurs in start-ups.
