To collate the views, aspirations and inputs of citizens into the 2017 national budget on health education as a step towards deepening participation in the budget process.

1. Citizens understanding of the budget cycle was enhanced, whilst their interest and enthusiasm in holding public duty bearers aroused.

2. A copy of the 2016 budget on education and health was made available for all interested participants.

3. A lot of ideas, views, concerns and aspirations were expressed by citizens and will be collated for the purposes of developing the ‘Citizen Budget’ on education and health.

4. Participants were also sensitized on issues of corruption and the need for citizens to lead the fight against the menace.
