Through 17 innovative projects across multiple districts, SEND GHANA continued to lead in social protection, health advocacy, food security, and gender equity initiatives, directly benefiting over 30,000 individuals while pushing for systemic policy reforms at local and national levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Highlights<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Health &amp; Social Protection \u2013 Advocated for the establishment of a Public Health Emergency Fund; implemented COVID-19 vaccine compliance tracking; monitored immunization financing; and supported sexual and reproductive health rights for youth through the &#8220;Power to Choose&#8221; initiative.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agriculture &amp; Food Security \u2013 Implemented the 4R Nutrient Stewardship Program to improve sustainable farming for women; supported cocoa farmers through advocacy platforms and training; engaged farmers in budget advocacy under the GROW project; and launched \u201cFair for All\u201d to promote human rights in the cocoa value chain.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Education &amp; Youth Empowerment \u2013 Empowered adolescent girls and boys through SRHR training and policy engagement; developed advocacy manuals; and trained young people to influence national budgets for youth-friendly health services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Governance &amp; Public Financial Management \u2013 Strengthened budget advocacy through platforms like Monitoring for Financial Savings (M4FS); tracked district-level infrastructure projects using digital tools; and supported the CSOs Platform on SDGs to influence gender-sensitive budgeting and accountability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gender Equality &amp; Women\u2019s Empowerment \u2013 Expanded the Gender Model Family approach across nine districts; empowered over 1,200 women in the cocoa and shea value chains; and promoted positive masculinity and unpaid care work redistribution through WEACT and VETS projects.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sendwestafrica.org\/ghana\/download\/19584\/?tmstv=1753890639\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"285\" src=\"https:\/\/sendwestafrica.org\/ghana\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/pdf-download-image2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18869\" style=\"width:235px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sendwestafrica.org\/ghana\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/pdf-download-image2.png 720w, https:\/\/sendwestafrica.org\/ghana\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/pdf-download-image2-300x119.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Introduction The Annual Report 2022 outlines SEND GHANA\u2019s impactful response to the economic hardship faced by many Ghanaians due to post-COVID recovery and rising inflation.
