This announcement coincides with the organization\u2019s celebration of 26 years of impactful pro-poor research and policy advocacy.<\/p>\n<h4>A Journey of Dedication and Impact<\/h4>\n<p>Ms. Nuamah Agyemang\u2019s journey with SEND GHANA began in August 2003 during her National Service. Over the years, she has held various roles, including Project Officer, Communications Officer, and Senior Programme Officer for the Southern Ghana Program. Her leadership in initiatives like the \u201cMaking Ghana\u2019s Budget Work for Equity\u201d has been instrumental in enhancing budget accountability and equitable resource allocation.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2021, Ms. Nuamah Agyemang has led the Epidemic Preparedness Financing Campaign, collaborating with health professionals, academia, traditional leaders, and civil society organizations to advocate for a statutory fund to support health emergencies. This initiative underscores her commitment to addressing critical national challenges.<\/p>\n<h4>Strategic Vision for SEND GHANA<\/h4>\n<p>As Country Director, Ms. Nuamah Agyemang aims to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strengthen regional synergies among SEND GHANA, SEND Liberia, and SEND Sierra Leone.<\/li>\n<li>Foster partnerships with government bodies and civil society organizations to amplify advocacy efforts.<\/li>\n<li>Innovate and adapt SEND\u2019s programming to align with emerging challenges and opportunities in governance, health, education, and agriculture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Her leadership marks a renewed focus on integrity, economic empowerment, and the organization\u2019s foundational mission of promoting good governance and gender equality in Ghana.<\/p>\n<h4>Qualifications and Expertise<\/h4>\n<p>Ms. Nuamah Agyemang holds a Master\u2019s in Development Studies from the University of Ghana, a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Development Studies from the University for Development Studies, and a Diploma in Journalism from the Ghana Institute of Journalism. Her 21 years of experience in civil society advocacy position her as a transformative leader ready to take SEND GHANA to new heights.<\/p>\n<p>This appointment is not just a milestone for SEND GHANA but a beacon of hope for inclusive leadership in civil society organizations.
